Early this morning, travel through Palm Springs, the winter playground of Hollywood royalty, known for its vibrant downtown and pristine golf courses set against the backdrop of the rugged San Jacinto Mountains. A sea of wind turbines marks the entrance to this desert oasis. Continue through Indio, home to the International Date Festival in the Coachella Valley, before arriving in Phoenix.
